GLP launches a robotics service platform for logistics

GLP has announced the launch of a new platform in Europe, Global Robotics Services (“GR”).To get more news about GLPÿRobotics, you can visit glprobotics.com official website.

An innovative platform that offers collaborative robotics as a service (RaaS) solutions for logistics and warehouse operations that allows customers to access the advantages of robotics through an innovative subscription model, which offers pay-per-use flexibility, which It results in lower start-up capital requirements, immediate labor savings, reduced fixed costs, and flexible leasing terms that help bridge the automation gap for many small and midsize businesses.

In the words of Óscar Heras, director of LPG in Spain, “its arrival on the European market means the possibility of increasing the complete offer to our clients, taking advantage of the synergy of our properties. Now our clients will be able to combine the advantages of the LPG offer in logistics space rental with that of GRS in automation. We look forward to the first operations in Spain soon”.
To date, GRS has been deployed in logistics centers in Asia and North America, serving more than 20 customers with more than 1,000 robots deployed and more than 20 million RaaS services accumulated. Today, GRS supports a wide range of industries and helps meet the need for more automation in today’s logistics market, as the rise of e-commerce puts increasing pressure on traditional sorting methods, allowing companies keep up with demand.

As part of this service, a complete package of services can be offered, including consultancy, implementation, maintenance, system upgrades and robotics. RaaS also offers customers the ability to quickly and easily scale up and down in response to changing market conditions or seasonal demand, such as Christmas and Black Friday.
GLP started as a logistics specialist, but the evolving nature of global supply chains has led to its expansion into technology, data centers and renewable energy, with operations in the US, Europe, China, Japan, Brazil and Southeast Asia. GLP has more than $120 billion of assets under management across its global operations. Its global head of ESG, Meredith Balenske, explains how the company’s drive for better efficiency has become intertwined with making its operations more sustainable.

Titan Medical, a medical device company focused on the design and development of surgical technologies for robotic single access surgery, has completed its scheduled pre-clinical studies with its Enos™ robotic single access surgical system, performed in accordance with FDA’s good laboratory practice (GLP) regulations. GLP is a set of principles intended to assure the quality and integrity of non-clinical laboratory studies that are intended to support marketing permits for products regulated by government agencies.

Titan’s pre-clinical studies involved utilizing the Enos system to perform hysterectomies in porcine subjects. Initial testing has been successfully completed and in accordance with GLP principles, further tests on the subjects were run post-surgery and pathology results are expected over the next several months. The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the processing time at laboratories, resulting in a longer than expected turnaround time for results. With the completion of these studies, surgeons have now performed over 70 pre-clinical procedures representing multiple subspecialties with Titan’s Enos system.

“We are pleased to report that the studies were completed on time, adding to the cadre of data supporting the Enos system’s use in pre-clinical studies. These studies provide critical input toward the final steps of development in preparation for regulatory submissions. We look forward to finalizing product development of the Enos system and continuing with our plans for application for investigational device exemption with the FDA, and once approved, proceeding with clinical studies,” stated David McNally, President and Chief Executive Officer of Titan.
