Final Fantasy XIV's Teleportation Fees Are Increasing With Endwalker An unwelcome change is coming to Final Fantasy XIV in the upcoming Endwalker expansion, as the cap on teleportation prices will be lifted. In the current version of FF14, the player will only pay a maximum of 999 Gil to fast travel to any destination. To get more news about FFXIV Gil for sale, you can visit lootwowgold official website. FF14 had a negative reputation for containing lots of quests that involved traveling across a continent, just to have a few lines of dialogue with an NPC, and then returning to the original location. One of the reasons A Realm Reborn had its quests reworked was to streamline the game and take out many of these quests. Players can use the Teleport action to fast travel to locations that contain an Aetheryte that they have attuned to in the past, but doing so costs money. There are free Aetheryte tickets available, such as through referring a friend to the game, which takes some of the sting out of needing to pay for fast travel. The player can also set a home destination and use the Return command to go back for free, though it has a long recharge timer. It's not just FF14's housing market that is facing trouble, as inflation is also coming to the fast travel system. The recent FF14 Live Letter event with producer Naoki Yoshida included new information about changes to the game's teleportation system. According to PC Gamer, FF14 will remove the cap on fast travel prices, allowing them to exceed 999 Gil. The exact price will depend on the distance being traveled. It's not just FF14's teleportation cost that's changing, as the Aetheryte tickets will also be altered. Yoshida has claimed that there will be new types of tickets that are restricted by range, unlike the existing ones, which can take the player anywhere. The player will have to make better use of their home point/Return command to minimalize the cost of teleporting. On the plus side, the UI for the fast travel menu within cities will be altered, to show players the location of each Aethryte point on a minimap, so they can tell at a glance where they need to go if they are unfamiliar with the area. The increasing price of teleportation and changes to the Aetheryte tickets feel like an unnecessary addition and is another annoyance for players to have to deal with. Here's hoping that the developers behind Final Fantasy 14 reverse their decision. |
