By no means is the Shop Adidas Nite Jogger a sequel to the NMD or the Ultra Boost, but it is the Three Stripes newest lifestyle foray that equips a beloved Boost-laden sole unit. A bit more technically designed than its aforementioned predecessors, the Nite Jogger’s upper comes composed of a technical ripstop material as well as textile mesh on its toebox and a number of unique layered embellishments throughout. Having debuted in relatively monotone kits, the Jogger’s next outfit ushers in some highlighter-like hues the likes of neon green, striking pink, and a classic royal blue in support of its Core Black and Carbon appearance.
The Adidas Nite Jogger Online is a shoe that’s all about being seen. As the original version was the Trefoil Brand’s first step into high-vis reflective tech when it released in 1979, UK-based boutique size? has opted to take the now-updated silhouette back to its genesis with their new “Road Safety” collaboration. Inspired by the bright visibility-maximizing attire that’s worn by construction workers, first responders, and crossing guards, the colorway combines fluorescent orange, green, and yellow tones with a healthy dose of reflective accents to ensure that the wearer stands out no matter where they may go.
A large red 3M logo that’s accented by skewed stitching then appears on the medial midfoot to provide the design’s signature detail. There’s not as much reflective material used here as you might expect however: it’s only present on the heel tab, the aforementioned midfoot logo, and the flecked laces. The cool tones lie in the majority of the palette, as it covers profile logos, contrast stitching, lining, and underlying taping, while contrast arrives by way of subtle bits of the aforementioned warm hues as well as overlaid paneling and heel supports of glossy metallics. As for overt connections, the stamped embellishment at the tongue does the most with its clearly drawn portrait; co-branded bits sit right above with the insole going a step further against a backdrop of various lights.
